New Dementia Center Raising Funds

September is World Alzheimer’s Month, a time to raise awareness, challenge stigma, and recognize the millions of individuals and families whose lives are touched by Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. St. John's is raising funds to create the Charlie & Kathy Runyon Dementia Resource Center—a place designed to connect individuals living with dementia, caregivers, and families with education, resources, innovative technology, and meaningful support.

A Caregiver's Love

For Mort and Diane Stein, more than six decades of marriage have been built on supporting one another through life’s many changes. When Diane’s needs began to grow, Mort found himself taking on a new role as caregiver—one filled with love, difficult decisions, sleepless nights, and ultimately, the realization that accepting help can be an act of love, too. Today, Mort shares their deeply personal journey in hopes that other caregivers will know they do not have to navigate the challenges of caring for someone they love alone.
